Transport: 37 Resolutions Passed Unanimously
At the Annual Employee of the transport sector, which was held Friday night at Beau Bassin, some 2000 employees of six bus companies have expressed their dissatisfaction with their working conditions.

On the occasion, 37 resolutions were passed unanimously. Employees claim that negotiations on conditions of employment are held at the national level. A letter will be sent next week to Bus Owners Association calling for negotiations in this regard as soon as possible.

Among stakeholders, Alain Kistnen, President of the Union of Bus Industry Workers and employee National Transport Corporation (NTC), expresses its satisfaction. "The workers should have better working conditions. These negotiations will focus on the revision of the conditions of employment, including a wage increase of 45% for all employees. Employers should review our terms. We demand 22% as bonus to our annual salary. Employees with more than 30 years of service can not have a basic salary of Rs 10,000 only, "says our interlocutor.

Alain Kistnen press meet to unveil the 37 resolutions next week. "An employee of the transportation industry can not wait eight years to get the 'Local & Sick Leaves'. This is unacceptable, "says Alain Kistnen.
