Transport: Blue Line Service Goes
Forget the traumatic episodes. And while the Blue Line is synonymous with fear and sadness, as the new Chairman of the NTC, it should disappear. He will be replaced by a premium service, says Pratap Dave Udhin. The bus company should also wear new colors.

Blue Line. A name that symbolizes the admission of the Chairman of the National Transport Company (NTC), the trauma after the accident at Sorèze May 3. This service should thus disappear. "It will give way to a new kind of premium service" , says Pratap Dave Udhin , whose appointment comes to be endorsed by the Council of Ministers.

A rebranding is, in fact, provided the NTC. The new Chairman wants a new image for the bus so he says, to restore confidence "seriously undermined" between travelers and the company. Its buses will wear new colors, recalling the least traumatic episodes in its history. "Blue remain dominant. But it will be a visually pleasing mix of colors. The current design is synonymous with fear and sadness, "said Pratap Dave Udhin.

The new Chairman is also set to work this morning, Monday, November 18. After an initial meeting with the top management in the morning, two meetings are scheduled with employees of Good Earth and depositing Remy Ollier. It will continue to meet with staff from four other deposits, Tuesday and Wednesday, before chairing his first board this weekend.

Pratap Dave Udhin will also tackle a thorny issue: the renewal of the fleet of the NTC. And he hopes to put an end to the policy standard for all bus routes. 100 semi-low floor buses will be purchased this year will be evaluated on the basis of the needs of the area they will serve. A project for which the Government House has already provided a grant to the tune of Rs 100 million, a bill that could be around half a billion rupees.

"All roads do not require the same technical properties. On a road where there is virtually no difference in height, there is no need for huge motor skills " says Pratap Dave Udhin. "What makes the investment and operating costs cheaper. So it is necessary to use several suppliers and brands, we will from the time the service will be improved, "he adds.
