Called Project 156 (for the 156 corners on the hill-climb route), the racing bike is the result of a collaboration between Victory Motorcycles, Roland Sands Design and Cycle World. It's built around a new liquid-cooled prototype engine that Victory has been developing at its R&D center in Minnesota and plans to put in production bikes in the future.
From there, the legendary Roland Sands custom shop (whose BMW concept bagger bike just debuted at Villa d'Este) built a custom chassis, with more radiators than a ski lodge, more exposed pipes than a hookah lounge, and more raw carbon than a rolling coal meetup.
Riding duties for this one-off creation will be handled by Don Canet, lead test rider for Cycle World magazine, who has got to be a little bit crazy, but also very fortunate to have been anointed to the task of unleashing this beast's potential.
