Honda has introduced the Honda HR-V Black Edition in the UK, with prices starting at £25,000 (INR 20,80,447.06) OTR. The HR-V Black Edition follows the limited run CR-V Black Edition which has received an extension now.
The Honda HR-V Black Edition gets special exterior upgrades over the Honda HR-V SE for the sportier and black-themed look. These include black running boards, skid plates, front grille and mirror caps, and 18-inch alloy wheels. On the inside, there are some model-specific enhancements, including special edition leather and carpets.
The Honda HR-V Black Edition is available with the 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine and the 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel engine. The 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine produces 130 PS at 6,600 rpm and 155 Nm of torque at 4,600 rpm and is offered with a 6-speed manual transmission and a continuously variable transmission. The 1.6-litre four-cylinder diesel engine develops 120 PS at 4,000 rpm and 300 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm and is paired to a 6-speed manual transmission.
The Honda HR-V Black Edition is priced at £25,000 OTR in the 1.5L i-VTEC MT configuration, at £26,210 OTR in the 1.5L i-VTEC CVT configuration and at £26,820 OTR in the 1.6L i-DTEC MT configuration. It will go on sale this month.
Honda Cars India has acknowledged that it is investigating the Honda HR-V for India after customers requested for the vehicle in the local market.
