Called as the Honda Jazz ES Plus, the new variant replaces the current top end variant ES. As the name suggests, it adds more features to the package.
The extra goodies on offer are new 16″ alloy wheels, cruise control, tinted widows, driver seat armrest and leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob. The standard equipment of the ES trim are carried forward.
The Honda Jazz ES Plus is powered by a 1.4 litre i-VTEC petrol engine (the 1.2 liter i-VTEC unit is available in rest of the variants). The motor develops 99PS and is mated to a five speed manual transmission.
The car accelerates from 0-100kph in 11.8 seconds and has a top speed of 180kph. The hatchback delivers a fuel economy of 50mpg (17.62kpl) while emitting 129 gm/Km of CO2.
The Honda Jazz ES Plus is priced at £14,495.
Honda Jazz’s success in India has been marred by high pricing. Later, Honda India brought the price down at the cost of profit margin only to withdraw the car from the market. However, the next generation Honda Jazz with a diesel motor is India bound. The new car will be unveiled sometime in 2014.
