On Our Roads: Two Vehicles with the Same Registration Number
Funny script that calls on our roads: a scooter (Vespa) and a car (Toyota Vitz) have the same registration number: AF 374. Both are outstanding.

The owner of the Vespa reported this anomaly to the police. While he was in Port-Louis, Arshad Heetun, a resident of Gokoola (Piton), is shocked to discover that a car bearing the same registration number as the scooter belonging to his father: "I got closer to the car and I questioned the driver. The latter told me that he purchased this personalized number with the National Transport Authority (NTA). "

Arshad Heetun then puts the cap on the police station where he Piton reported this anomaly to the police. He also deplores the fact that he was told to choose another number plate, when he turned to the NTA: "This is unacceptable! How is it that the NTA has assigned this issue to another person? Especially since 1973, the Vespa is on the road ... At no time, it was sealed. Road tax and insurance have been constantly renewed. "

To his father Asraph Heetun, although this number means nothing, it has sentimental value because it indicates that he had bought a brand new motorbike at the time. However, this is not the first time Arshad Heetun addressed to the authorities about the number plate AF 374: "In 2009, I saw that this issue was on sale on the website of the NTA. I had warned the officers because our bike wearing that number. The NTA then told me that if ever someone was considering buying this issue, we would not sell it. "

This number plate, having been sold to the owner of the Toyota Vitz, Arshad Heetun risk of losing it today, "I love this issue. But if ever the NTA decides to retrieve it, she'll have me another award. Otherwise, I will demand that I repay my money! "

The car owner said he had done nothing wrong in this case: "This is the NTA who was at fault. I saw this number on the internet and I bought it. If this plate is on another vehicle, the NTA why I sold it? Banla ki en tor ! "

At the NTA, it said that "we are aware of this situation. This is confusing and we will pray the car owner to choose another personalized number. " The origin of this confusion is the fact "that the NTA was informed on the latest regarding the renewal of road tax of a vehicle, according to legal provisions."
