Honda unveiled the next gen Honda Jazz through a series of official images but the car is yet to make its public appearance. Expected to go on sale in Japan in September, there are chances that the new Jazz could be seen at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The new gen car’s design philosophy has nothing in common with the one it replaces. While its predecessor looked like a downsized MPV, the new car has a proper hatchback stance. The design features of the front fascia take a leaf or two from the new Civic.
At the rear, the windshield is flanked by the extended taillights and there is a prominent chrome strip running across the width of the car. The pseudo air intakes on the rear bumper complement that of the front.
The interior too has has a familiar aura of the recent Hondas. The centre console is inclined towards the driver and the blue backlit tri-pod instrument console includes a multi-info display.
The engine lineup for the new Honda Jazz includes a 1.3-litre and 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engines, and a 1.5 litre petrol hybrid powertrain.
