The images shares by Noticias Automotivas imagine the front and rear three-quarter views of the 2019 Toyota Corolla. The next generation Corolla has been undergoing testing in Europe and is expected to be unveiled before the end of 2018.
The renderings incorporate the design theme followed by newer Toyota products. The front section has hints of the 2018 Toyota Camry's "Keen Look" philosophy. The rear end features taillights unified by a single LED strip running across the boot. The rendering features full LED headlights and LED taillights, blacked out B-pillars, and black alloy wheels.
The interior could borrow bits like the steering wheel from the Camry. The dashboard layout could also be similar to its elder sibling. Expect Toyota to increase the usage of leather and soft-touch plastics.
The next gen Toyota Corolla will be based on the TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform that also underpins the new Camry, Prius, and C-HR.
The engine options likely to be offered on the new Corolla include a 1.5L 4-cyl petrol, 1.5L Hybrid, 8NR-FTS 1.2 turbocharged petrol, and the familiar 1.8L VVT-i petrol engine. However, there have been reports of the Corolla receiving BMW engine(s) as well. It may get BMW's 1.5 L three-cylinder engine or something from BMW's range of modular engines that include the B37, B38, B47, and B48 engines.
