10 people in three buses of the National Transport Corporation (NTC) were injured at Sunday around 17:30 in a road accident occurred near Station Camp Levieux.

The accident happened when a bus, which is in operation for 16 years, went to the station, could not apply the brakes in time. It hit a parked bus and another one that doubled parked.

One of the drivers of buses, a witness of the accident, still can not believe it. He argues that his two colleagues, a driver and a conductor, who were in the bus, were seriously injured. "Many people have been lucky. They were not at the bus, but waited for the bus driver parked the bus returns."

Those admitted to the hospital Candos are: Sabrina Edmont (32 years) and her two young children age Filojen Marie (56 years), Indira Devi Padnooporoo (54), Julie Marie Lajeunie Wendy (29 years) Joanne and Mary Filojen (18 years). They all are inhabitant of Camp Levieux. Among those admitted to the hospital is the driver Mansoo Hossenbux, 37, a resident of Ward-Military, and the recipient Sookeya Maneeram, 44, Palma, Quatre-Bornes. The state of the driver is deemed critical by the physicians. He is admitted to the ICU.

After the accident, many people gathered at the police station in Camp Levieux to express their anger. Nicolas Fritz Sweensley Rongeot was at the police station armed with a knife. The sleuths had to neutralize him before arresting him.

Police are investigating. At a time when we went to press Sunday, police had not yet taken the story of the victims. Drivers and conductors of two other buses have recorded their statements.
