Beau-Bassin: Individuals Obstructing Road and Bus Driver Assault
A group of people stormed a bus in the National Company of Transport (NTC) in mid-day Tuesday, July 24 at Beau Bassin. According to the account of witnesses to this scene, the criminals have attacked the driver before fleeing.

Police are looking for a gang traveling in a green car who threatened a bus driver of the National Transport Corporation (NTC) in mid-day on Tuesday 24 July. According to passengers, the suspect vehicle was following the bus from the station of Rose Hill. It was heading towards the capital.

Arriving in Beau Bassin, the green car came to rest across the road and people armed with knives have attacked the driver defenseless. The latter has received several blows to the face.

Panicked, all the passengers rushed inside a shop. Some had presence of mind to raise the issue of the license plate of the suspect vehicle.

The bus driver, after some hesitation, finally recorded a statement to police. Investigators from Beau Bassin also seek to know what drove the attackers to commit such an act. It is our responsibility that investigators are looking for a notorious repeat offender.
