Gasoline was used to burn Harish Boodhoo’s cars
The fire at Harish Boodhoo house, Belle Terre, has criminal origin. At Thursday, March 10, experts from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) have sent to the CID of Phoenix report where the presence of catalyst in the 4x2 rear burned tires was confirmed.
Everything suggests that this is the essence which was used to set fire to the vehicle belonging to the nephew of Harish Boodhoo. When the flames have spread, they finally reached his car, a Proton parked in front of the 4x2, reducing also a heap of charred metal sheets.
Since the night of Monday, February 28 to Monday March 1, when the crime was committed, Harish Boodhoo does not stop to explain that he was a victim of bullying. One of his neighbours, for its part, said they heard a footstep running toward a field of sugarcane adjacent to his home shortly after the fire was not declared.
The report of the FSL will finally put an end to doubts as to the origin of the fire. Just Wednesday, March 9, Somduth Dulthumun of the Sanatan Dharma Temples Federation and Hinduvta Movement has raised the possibility of a "staged" on the part of Harish Boodhoo.
Somduth Dulthumun also said to want to play mediator between Harish Boodhoo and the Voice of Hindu (VOH), sectarian group that former deputy prime minister suspected of being behind the crime. After the interrogation of six executives of the VOH last week, this Thursday, March 10, it was the turn of the political activist Raffick Goolfee to be heard.
As all these people and Harish Boodhoo suspect blame him, Goolfee provided an alibi and was able to go home. The CID of the Phoenix has work cut out to be traceable to the authors of the fire.
In a statement to Radio One, Raffick Goolfee contends that he will file a lawsuit against Harish Boodhoo for the symbolic sum of one rupee.
