Bois Marchand A: Some taxi drivers attacked in two days in a row cutter
A taxi driver was attacked with knives in the region of Bois Marchand. He had two clients on board opposite place de l'Immigration, Port Louis.

This is the second case within a few days. Lindsay Louis a driver aged 51 was attacked after taking on board two customers in the place of immigration in Port Louis on Wednesday 13 July. In the evening he took two passengers asked to be taken to Bois Marchand.

Once on the scene, the passenger seated in the front pulls out a knife and ordered him to hand over all his money and his mobile phone. After refusing to comply, the driver attempts to restart his vehicle. The robber then grabbed the steering wheel which has led the car into a wall.

His accomplice sat in the back seat taxi driver injured in the back with a cutter. The two thieves fled with a sum of Rs 150 and the mobile of the victim.

On the evening of Thursday, July 14 the taxi driver was invited by the CID of Terre Rouge, which consulted the file repeat offenders in the area.
