Caudan Interchange Operational This Weekend
It is ready. After several months of work, the 'fly-over' of the interchange will be operational Caudan Saturday, April 7. This exchanger, with its flyover roundabout will replace the Caudan.

The work, which took more than six months late, have required an investment of Rs 200 million. The site will be fully completed in June. But in reality, what will really change for motorists and other road users?

"Crace at this interchange, traffic will be split into two," says Cadressen Dorsamy, director of the Road Development Authority (RDA). The roundabout was Caudan a real bottleneck for road users, both for those commuting in the capital and in the North and those who were to take the reverse path. "

This project should improve traffic flow entering or leaving the capital. The flyover will be used by vehicles entering the capital, while those heading north take the traditional route. The flyover is extended to the Place d'Armes. No there not there a risk that the streams of vehicles are found later, is up to the Place d'Armes? Which would only shift the problem?

"The movement of vehicles will change," reassures the director of the RDA. "There is no infrastructure in that game." Traffic Management program will be implemented with the cooperation of the police to ensure that the interchange traffic thins in this strategic region of Port Louis. "
