This Crazy Isuzu D-Max Truck In Thailand Has FIVE Turbochargers
Cars like the Bugatti Chiron, BMW M550d, and BMW X5 M50d all feature quad-turbocharged engines but in Bangkok, Thailand, there is a custom Isuzu D-Max pickup truck that has five turbos.

That's certainly a good way to one-up some of the car industry's biggest companies.

As YouTuber Chad Burdette recently discovered, this bright green D-Max uses the marque's diesel 4JJ1-TCX engine that displaces 3.0-liters and has four-cylinders alongside a single turbocharger. Typically, it is good for 187 hp and 330 lb-ft (447 Nm) of torque, respectable numbers and certainly adequate for a vehicle of this sort.

Clearly eager to create something unique and with far more grunt than stock, the owner of this D-Max decided to fit no less than five aftermarket GReddy turbochargers to the engine. Yes, that means the car has more turbochargers than it does cylinders.

The configuration of the turbochargers is quite unique as one of them is located in the engine bay, next to the engine like you'd expect, while the four remaining turbos jut up and out from the engine bay and sit in line with the base of the windscreen.

We're not sure how efficient this set-up is nor are there any performance statistics available about the truck but it's impossible not to be impressed with the craftsmanship. For example, there are beautifully-executed welds on what appear to be pipes made from titanium. Oh yeah, the truck also features three bottles of nitrous oxide. Crazy doesn't even begin to describe it.
