Daihatsu Sigra (Toyota Calya mini MPV’s twin) revealed at GIIAS
Daihatsu has launched its version of the Toyota Calya at the ongoing 2016 GIIAS in Indonesia.

The Daihatsu Sigra is marketed as a low cost alternative to the Toyota Calya, while sharing most of its features. The exterior styling is slightly similar to the Toyota Calya, save for the grille, foglamps and tailgate. It measures 4,070 mm long, 1,600 mm wide, 1655 mm high, has a wheelbase of 2,525 mm and ground clearance of 180 mm.

Inside, the Sigra features a dual-tone black and beige interior, unlike the black-brown combination of the Calya. It offers 263 liters of boot volume with the third row seats up and 503 liters with the seats down.

While the Toyota Calya shares the 88 PS 1.2-litre Dual VVT-i four-cylinder petrol engine with the Daihatsu Sigra, the latter exclusively offers a smaller 1.0L 1KR-VE engine with 67 PS and 89 Nm. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual as standard in both variants, while a 4-speed automatic gearbox is available for the 1.2 variant only.
