Deadly Descent Sorèze: RDA Considering a Deceleration Zone
The Road Development Authority (RDA) is considering a solution for accident-prone area Sorèze following output drive a bus that killed 10 people and wounded 45. It is the deadliest accident in this part of the highway after a series of others.

The immediate solution pending possible decongesting traffic in this line is the creation of a deceleration zone. This is considered on the left side of the highway after the Colville Deverell Bridge and Montebello. "We started to think about solutions and we will consult us during the week to decide an urgent solution," said a source in the RDA.

The topography and the lack of emergency parking area make the steep descent in turn Montebello Sorèze particularly dangerous, especially for transit and trucks.

"We need to find emergency parking areas large enough and means to slow vehicles that may find themselves in the same situation as the bus of the NTC. The challenge is to find spaces,"the source added.
