Devel 16 Just a Bullshit Marketing Stunt?
When something is too good to be true, it usually is.

Last month, Beirut-based W Motors unveiled its $3.4 million, 5,000 horsepower Devel 16 hyper car at the Dubai Motor Show. Like many of you, we immediately screamed BS regarding its supposed output, top speed of 350 mph and a 0-62 time of 1.8 seconds. It just sounds like pure bullshit. Even the pair of supposed US-developed engines look like cheap plastic, at best.

Then we paid closer attention to Shmee150’s video as well as a spotter video taken near Dubai Beach, and now we're thinking the car was part of a viral marketing campaign for Dubai to host the 2020 World Expo. Look closely in the videos and you’ll notice the "Expo 2020" logo clearly featured in the backgrounds.

The videos were taken on November 5 and 20, respectively, and Dubai was announced as the 2020 Expo host on November 27. Coincidence? Possibly, but then again the Devel 16 would be the perfect thing to help push Dubai's case to host the event. We say this all the more proof the car is a complete fake.
