The Grand Tour Headed To South Africa For First Taping
If you're hoping to attend the first taping of The Grand Tour, you'd better get your travel plans in order.

Jeremy Clarkson has announced via Twitter that they're heading to Johannesburg, South Africa for the first episode, set to tape on July 17, and Amazon is running a contest to score tickets.

To win those tickets, contestants must tweet their best photo or video of "the most unusual place they've ever put up a tent," with the hashtag "#TheGrandTourJoburg." Amazon will choose the ten best entries, which Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May will narrow down to three winners. If you're one of the lucky few, you'll net two tickets to the taping, round-trip airfare, three nights in a four-star hotel, on-the-ground transportation to get from the airport to the hotel to the studio, and $300 in spending cash.

But you'd best get busy setting up that tent. According to the contest page, Amazon will begin taking entries today, June 2, at 11:00 a.m. BST (that was 6:00 a.m. on America's East Coast). The contest will close on June 8 at 11:59 p.m. BST (6:59 p.m. in the eastern US). Judging will take place between June 9 and June 15, with winners likely to be announced shortly after.
