Heartect-based 2018 Suzuki Ertiga (2018 Maruti Ertiga) petrol delivers 18.06 kmpl mileage
The 2018 Suzuki Ertiga (2018 Maruti Ertiga) is based on Suzuki’s new Heartect platform that underpins all its latest vehicles.

The redesigned model employs a new engine too, which delivers a fuel economy of up to 18.06 km/l in the Indonesian test cycle. This is a marginal improvement from 17.59 km/l of the outgoing model.

The second-gen Suzuki Ertiga's new-generation platform "Heartect" is lightweight and provides improvements in driving, cornering and stopping. The new generation model is markedly better in safety. In addition to ABS with EBD, dual airbags, rear parking sensors and rear parking camera, safety features now include ESP and ISOFIX.

The 2018 Suzuki Ertiga is 4,395 mm long, 1,735 mm wide and 1,690 mm high. It has a 2,740 mm wheelbase and a ground clearance of 180 mm. The vehicle is powered by the K15B 1.5L VVT four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 104.7 PS at 6,000 rpm and 138 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. A 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission sends drive to the front wheels. The fuel economy is rated at 18.06 km/l (MT)/16.73 km/l (AT).

Externally the 2018 Suzuki Ertiga features projector headlamps, 15-inch alloy wheels, smart entry system, LED rear combination lamps with light guides and rear spoiler with LED high-mount stop lamp.

Two-tone upholstery, wood inserts, 60:40 split single folding & sliding second-row seats, 50:50 tilt down folding third-row seats, roof-mounted air vents, dual power outlets (first and second-row), engine push-start stop button, 6.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone and Bluetooth connection and 4 speakers (2 front, 2 rear) round up the interior highlights of the 2018 Suzuki Ertiga.

PT Indomobil Suzuki will take the wraps off the 2018 Suzuki Ertiga at the IIMS 2018 tomorrow.
