This Ertiga is similar to the Suzuki Ertiga Sport sold in the Indonesian market. It gets the same body kit from the Suzuki Sport and carries that branding as well.
Based on the all-new Ertiga, the accessorised Ertiga seen here features a new honeycomb grille, a full body kit comprising under spoilers all around and a roof spoiler - all with red highlights, extended side skirts, black treatment on lower side body, faux rear skid plate in red colour, and of course, the Swift Sport's exclusive 17-inch alloy wheels. The bigger alloy wheels lend a sportier stance to the MPV.
Under the hood, the showcased MPV has the familiar K15B 1.5L VVT petrol engine. This naturally aspirated four-cylinder unit delivers 104.7 PS of maximum power at 6,000 rpm and 138 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. It is linked to a 4-speed automatic transmission.
The regular Ertiga is available in Thailand in GL and GX grades, and the accessorised model seen here is based on the lower, GL grade. It is equipped with features like projector headlamps, electrically adjustable ORVMs, rear wiper and washer, sliding and reclining second-row seats and rear AC. On the safety front, dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD and BA, ESP, hill hold control and reverse parking sensors are standard.
In other updates, Maruti is prepping up to launch the much awaited XL6 in India tomorrow. The XL6 is based on the Ertiga but will be offered as a slightly premium offering.
