The magistrate acquitted Mahesh Beeharry
Verdict of acquittal in favor of the magistrate Mahesh Beeharry at Friday.

He was responding to a charge of "using firearm to Intimidate" before the Full Bench of the court through a connection with incident in December 2010 at the corner of Reverend John Brown, and La Chaussee, Port Louis.

The 'Full Bench' composed of judges Kwok Yin Siong Yen Veronica, and Azam Neerooa Kesnaytee Bissoonauth rejected the version of events put forward by the complainant Emamdee Rashid. Mahesh Beeharry pleaded not guilty and denied the facts alleged against him. He was defended by lawyers, including My Sanjay Bhuckory, Akil Bissessur and Sanjeev Teeluckdharry. The Crown was represented by Anusha Devi Rawoah.
