Motorcyclist Arrested for Aiming Gun
The police was on the trail of a pillion rider for aiming her gun at a van driver on Saturday at Cité Vallijee. The armed threat follows an incident that occurred earlier between the two.

The pillion rider assaulted and then aimed her gun at the van driver, Amit Bansoodev, 27. Following an operation carried out by the Line Barracks police, the motorcyclist, Mohamad Nazim Maudarbaccus, a 38-year-old resident of Vallee Pitot was arrested and detained on Monday.

He participated in a police line-up and was identified by the driver. A search was carried out at the residence of the suspect but no firearm was found.

The incident leading to the assault and threat took place on Saturday, when Bansoodev noticed a motorcycle zigzagging in front of his vehicle. He honked several times to warn the motorcyclist to be more careful. However, the motorcycle stopped and obstructed his way.
