NTC Will Acquire 100 Semi-Low Floor Buses
It was a measure announced in the budget that was intended for all bus operators. This involved the purchase of 200 semi-low floor buses at a reduced cost.

National Transport Corporation (NTC) takes action. The direction of this parastatal body is currently working on the acquisition of 100 buses of semi-low floor-type project. This, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Public Infrastructure. According to plan, the tender will be launched in May. Delivery would be monthly and lot from the last quarter of the year.

The funding would come from the Japan International Cooperation Agency and Build Mauritius Fund.

Already a few months, the NTC began to implement its restructuring plan, on the renewal of its fleet and a reorganization at its staff.

An important step in this plan will be reached by mid-June with the delivery of 70 new buses, 45 buses with 60 seats and 25 bus forty seats. The investments are in the range of Rs 180 M.
