Road Closure Due to Sewerage Works
Owing to sewerage excavation works carried out under the project Plaines Wilhems Sewerage Project Stage Lot 1A, by Sotravic Ltee along Palma Road (B2) and Hugnin Road in Rose-Hill, a section of the road will be closed to traffic from August 1.

According to the Ministry of Public Infrastructure, National Development Unit, Land Transport and Shipping, the left side lane of Palma Road going towards La Louise will be closed to traffic from Charlie Avenue up to Soobarah Avenue.

The change will be effective from Wednesday and will last for a total period of 35 days.

The works will be carried out in stretches of 50 m. Completed stretches will be backfilled, reinstated and opened to traffic as works progress.

In Hugnin Road, section of it will be closed to traffic in both directions from its junction with St Anne Road up to Soopramanien Street from Wednesday for a period of four weeks.

Public buses and heavy vehicles along Hugnin Road heading towards Port Louis will therefore be diverted along Soopramanien Street, La Place Street, Inkerman Street, Dr De Chazal Street, Dr Maurice Curé Street and back on Hugnin Road to the normal route.

While, public buses and heavy goods vehicles along Hugnin Road heading towards Rose Hill will be diverted to Sir Celicourt Antelme Avenue.
