Road Infrastructure: A New Path Will Open Up Flic-en-Flac
A road leading to the park Casela should soon emerge. The announcement was made by the Minister of Local Government on Sunday 11 December.

Flic-en-Flac will soon have a new road access . This is the announcement by the Minister for Local Hervé Aimée when laying the foundation stone of a new fire station in Tamarin this Sunday, December 11.

Like the locals, Hervé Aimée recognizes that the only road to Flic-en-Flac cause a nightmare for motorists. The traffic flow is increasing and with the opening of the Mall Cascavelle at the entrance to this road, the problem has worsened.

Thus, a new access road is under consideration. It will pass through fields of sugar cane bordering this town to lead around the park Casela. This will reduce traffic jams at the traffic lights and smooth thus traffic to Tamarin and Black River.

The opening up of Flic-en-Flac has long lent controversy. The main village road ended on a ground lease granted years ago to this to a businessman close to the government which built a hotel. If the road had been extended, it would have allowed motorists to join Tamarin without much detour.

Hervé Aimée has said that the road from Phoenix to Beaux-Songes to relieve Louise, Quatre-Bornes, and provide quick access to the people of West Central Plateau has been studied by the former minister and Siddick Chady himself in 1999.
