Taxi Drivers Shun the Work at Cassis
They are outraged. The problem of «taxis marrons» continues. Thirty taxi drivers Cassis gathered Wednesday at the roundabout of Cassis to make their voices heard.

They talk about the laxity of the inspectors of the National Transport Authority in relation to this situation. Their wish: to be able "to work freely."

For, say taxi drivers, not only that drivers of "taxis brown 'impede their work, they also threaten. At a meeting between the inspector Anbanaden Nagamootoo and Transport Controller, Cyril Appajalah, police and taxi drivers, it was agreed that the relevant authorities "will do the necessary" to find concrete solutions to the problem.

 First, there must be more communication. As a result, a meeting will be held monthly with the taxi drivers of Cassis.The goal: to take stock of the situation. Appajalah Cyril says that a strategy will be implemented with the resources available to the authorities concerned to be more present to address the problem. 

Taxi drivers have them committed to provide excellent service to their passengers, "says our interlocutor. He added that passengers at risk by traveling in «taxis marrons».  Besides being caught in violation, they put their lives at risk because these cars are in a deplorable state. In addition, they may unknowingly travel with inexperienced drivers, or who have some trouble with the law, "said Cyril Appajalah.
