Until 14 June, four experts will train Mauritian instructors at Mauritius Institute of Training and Development (MITD). Minister Anil Bachoo expressed the hope that the MITD put up a special cell to deliver these courses. Bachoo Minister recalled that the 423,654 vehicles registered at the NTA, 148,641 are cars. He discussed the importance of creating a Driver Education and Testing Centre. He welcomed the initiative of the authorities to open more testing centers and privatize. "Their number is expected to increase by 2014. I also encourage truck drivers to follow the course of five days. It is desirable that all drivers receive such training. The proposed MITD should establish a special unit for this purpose, "he added.
