It's as though he was aiming for it. Drifting is a lot of fun, we know. Get into the right car and it seems like it's just begging to get sideways, but maybe it's not a great idea to show off your rear-wheel-drive every single time the urge takes you.
Even just a little bit of situational awareness can go a long way, and the driver of the Honda S2000 in this video is clearly lacking in this department. There is not enough room for him to really do what he's trying to do, not by a long shot.
But of course he's got to try anyway, and it ends badly. Learn from his example.
