Mazda RX-7 Furai Conversion Looks Amazing, Wheels Included

But what about the custom stuff that can't be seen at the Vegas event? Well, the Mazda RX-7 Furai conversion we have here is an example as good as any. Sure, this is a rendering for now, but it has serious chances of becoming a real project.

Digital artist Reuleaux7 decided to make a pixel battle between two FD-generation RX-7s showcased at SEMA, as you'll notice in the first Instagram post below.

And while both Mazdas we have here are real, they've both been digitally enhanced. We'll quickly get over the red car, while is an all-metal RX-3 conversion that has been digitally fitted with an Pandem widebody kit, fender mirrors and fat-lipped wheels (you'll be able to check out the actual build on the SEMA floor in the last below).

As for the grey car, this is YouTuber's Rob Dahm's RX-7 and, like the red one mentioned above, features four-rotor Wankel firepower. Nevertheless, this is the first such monster to pack an AWD setup.

This is a build the vlogger has been dreaming of completing for quite a while and, as you'll notice in the YouTube video below, the project lacks quite a bit of bodywork for now, being displayed at SEMA in this fashion.

And it looks like the all-paw, four-rotor monster might just get a Furai conversion, as rendered by Reuleaux7 back in 2017 (you can enjoy the details of the pixel work in a dedicated post below).

Keep in mind that the Furai Concept was build around the chassis of a Le Mans prototype racer, with the stunning-looking contraption having made its debut at the 2008 Detroit Motor Show. Sadly, the concept was destroyed by fire while being tested by Top Gear in the same year, so seeing it returning via this amazing AWD, 4-rotor RX-7 build would be nothing short of a wonder.
