Four construction companies have won almost all of the contracts awarded by the GDR for the construction of drains, resurfacing of roads or the construction of sidewalks in 2011. Everything, for a total value of Rs 1,422 million, Rs 1.4 billion. These same companies dropped out, April 26, contracts for "maintenance and minor construction" of roads for the period 2012-2013, the RDA for a total of just over Rs 1 billion.
For fiscal year 2011, as certified by a document of the RDA, the company had won 35 Transinvest contracts for the Plains-Wilhems, Black River and Port Louis for a total of Rs 180 million. However, from a certain point, it is General Construction which has taken over, with 25 contracts awarded to about Rs 150 million. The only intruder in the list is a construction company named CEB, which helped build a new bridge and that conducted the resurfacing of the road at Case-Noyale. She had Rs 132,850 so far for this task. Then, for Rs 138,400, the firm helped the extension of the walkway a short distance along the road to Great Basin.
For the region Grand-Port/Savanne, Transinvest had 31 contracts for Rs 202.435 million. Gamma had the rest for Rs 87 million. The kings of the East (Moka / Flacq) last year were Gamma and Colas. These companies shared 34 contracts worth Rs 203 million. CEB may have only two tasks for a total of Rs 130,000. To the north, that is to say the area from Port Louis to Cape Unhappy through Riviere du Rampart and Pamplemousses, the situation is somewhat different in that two other manufacturers are still seen awarded a contract here and there.
The lion's share, however Colas, General Construction and Transinvest. In this market of Rs 222 million, however, we find companies Trio, SC Lallah & B. Sewraj. The latter was able to build a drain to Friendship for Rs 69,000 while the Trio has built a drain under the sidewalk of the Royal Road of Trou aux Biches for Rs 11.6 million. CEB was asked to build a car park in Cité Martial, contribute to the construction of a third way to Red Earth and build a drain in Pointe-aux-Fruits.
For 2011, the officers of the RDA were treated to two Extra Duty Allowance of Rs 2923 483.11. It also appears that the RDA has purchased construction materials for Rs 7.9 million. Of the 247 contracts awarded by the RDA in 2011, only eight have gone to companies outside the top four.
