The director of the Road Development Authority (RDA), Caderassen Dorsamy, wanted this Friday, June 28 to answer criticism of the projects undertaken by the authority. He also took the opportunity to announce that the road Terre Rouge Verdun be fully ready by the end of July.
Bringing the press this morning, he returned to the tendering exercises that are "seamlessly" . And argued that the allegations of favoritism and corruption in connection with these exercises are unfounded. " All tenders for major public infrastructure projects go through the Central Procurement Board. But when there are delays in the delivery of a project, there is still a valid issue. Especially concerning costs are rising incomes, " says the director of the RDA.
Referring to the flood on March 30, Caderassen Dorsamy stressed that "the accumulated water on the highway leading to Port-Louis did not come only from the capital but other surrounding areas. The walls installed at the roadside are not responsible " .
