Distribution Driving Licence Counterpart Extended until March 28
It's confirmed! Distribution Driving Licence Counterpart (DLC), which was to end on Thursday 21 March, has been extended to seven days.

This document is part of the system of penalty points which came into force on 1 April. The police had proposed to the Ministry, as announced in Defi MEdia on Wednesday to extend the period of distribution of DLC. A source hinted us that the authorities would go in that direction, and on Wednesday afternoon the news was confirmed.  

Holders of driving licenses and "learner", which have not yet recovered their DLC, have an additional period of seven days to do so. Distribution in the 21 positions in Mauritius and Rodrigues two, and will end Thursday, March 28 to 19 hours. It will not be in alphabetical order, as was the case until now.  

The authorities emphasize that there will not be another extension after March 28. After this time, those who for one reason or another, will still not recovered their DLC will always go to the Traffic Branch in Central Barracks, where applications will be handled on a case by case basis.

Tuesday at 15 pm, a little over 327 000 of 650 000 licensees and "learner" had recovered their DLC and Wednesday afternoon, this figure had risen to 336,328.

Any driver who does not have DLC and takes the wheel from the entry into force of the system of penalty points will be punished.
