2 Hit and Run Victims Dead While Third Still in ICU

On Wednesday, Cap Malheureux police recovered the body of Raj Gooroochurn on the side of the road.

SAMU attended and confirmed the victim was already dead.

According to police sources, he was the victim of a hit and run and the accident is believed to have occurred around 1 am.

Autopsy certified the victim died from multiple injuries.

Another road accident victim from Grand Bay also died in hospital on Wednesday.

The victim had been employed as watchman and was found lying on the side of the road with multiple injuries on March 6.

According to investigators the man was victim of a hit and run accident.

Police are in possession of video footage from a local surveillance camera which is being analysed to establish the identity of the car involved in the accident.

In another case in Rose Hill, a woman was seriously injured following a road accident during the day when she was hit by a bus while crossing the road.

The victim was admitted into the intensive care unit at the Victoria hospital in Candos.

The driver was arrested and released on parole after recording his version.
