The road has claimed another victim yesterday Saturday, July 20. Allegaree Michael, 52, was fatally struck by a car while crossing the street in Beau Bassin. An investigation was opened to shed light on this tragedy.
Sad end for this anniversary. While crossing the road outside a crosswalk, up to Conal Road, Vandermeersch, Beau Bassin last Saturday at around 18: 45 pm, he was hit hard by a car.
The driver, Jacques tongue, a resident of Grand River North West, which was submitted to a breath test which was negative, was released on parole shortly after the accident. There will be court-Rose Hill tomorrow, Monday, July 22.
An autopsy by the medical examiner, Dr. Monvoisin attributed the cause of death as a " cranial celebral injury . " Police Beau Bassin has opened an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.
