Taxi drivers have to court

Wednesday, August 17. The Taxi Proprietors' Union (TPU) does not give up on the new license plates. It has to court to dispute the fact that all taxis must have a white plate in front and yellow on the back, as private cars. For Raffick Bahadoor, president of the TPU, the new law is detrimental to the taxi drivers. He complains that the number of illegal taxis has increased as it is now difficult to distinguish between a master and a car taxi. He believes that the use of 5000 taxi drivers is at risk with such decision and wish there was a separate plate for them.
