Accidents: Five Dead Since the Beginning of the Weekend
While Statistics Mauritius noted, last week, the number of accidents is up, just for the weekend, five lives were lost on our roads. The last case concerns a mason who has lost control of his motorcycle in Petit Raffray ...

He died on the spot. A 43 year old mason traveling at high speed when he lost control of his motorcycle. The accident occurred Sunday, September 1 at 17 h 30 in Petit Raffray while the resident Goodlands way home. The victim, Soobiraj Seesaha was projected against a pylon. The passenger in the rump, 39,, he was admitted to the hospital SSRN. 

On the same day, but this morning around 5.30e Fidelicia Razanandarboto a Malagasy aged 29, an accident up to the roundabout Beau-Plan, passed away. Six passengers were on board a gray Toyota Yaris and headed for the capital used this plant as well as its senior fellow 23, 20 and 24 years, with two Mauritians. The vehicle rolled several times after leaving the road.With the arrival of relief, both Mauritians had already taken to their heels. Leaving behind four Malagasy injured ...

Seriously injured, Fidelicia Razanandarboto was transported to the intensive care unit of the hospital Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam, in Pamplemousses. She must give up the ghost after a few hours.

The other three Malagasy nationals have been luckier, having been slightly injured. Police suspect that the two Mauritians were under the influence of alcohol, hence the fact that they have fled. 

Police are looking for the driver, a resident of Rose Hill. The other Mauritian resident Belle Rose himself has been admitted to hospital.  

Police Pamplemousses opened an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.

Another accident occurred in Triolet Saturday, August 31. It is around 17: 30 pm that two motorcycles collided. One of them succumbed to his injuries. This is Bhimal Lalldev, 56, a resident of Triolet. 

The day before, it was a security officer who died on the spot on the highway heading north. The pedestrian, aged 62, was attempting to cross the highway when a car hit him. And during the same day, on the Royal road, Mapu, the passenger behind him on a motorcycle was killed. The vehicle was driven by Manogen Subaroyen, 33 years old and living Poudre d'Or Hamlet.

The passenger behind him, Vishnu Naiken, 25, a resident of Butte, died while he was being taken to hospital. The driver of the motorcycle, he was subjected to a breath test which proved positive.
