Accidents: One Dead and Several injured
The road, once again, resulting in casualties during the weekend. An accident killing one person and injured three took place in Black River in the early hours of Sunday.

The car skidded and came to rest against a tree. The victim, Mary Nosika Oomajee, aged 24, was rushed to hospital but doctors were unable pronounced dead.

The autopsy performed by forensic pathologists, Dr. Maxwell and Dr. Monvoisin Shaman, attributed the cause of death to multiple injuries. The victim also had his head crushed. According to reports, the accident was so violent that the young woman was thrown from the vehicle and landed on the asphalt. The other three occupants of the car are, meanwhile, admitted to the intensive care unit. Their health is of concern. There is every indication that they were returning from a party. Police opened an investigation.
