This car, according to the victim's brother, came from Souillac to go towards Curepipe when the accident occurred. Suchita Conhyea was rushed to hospital where she was admitted.

The driver of the car, 46 years old and living in Suriname, was questioned by police in Grand-Bois. It was tested for alcohol, which was negative.

"My sister worked for a year at the tuna factory Riche-Terre. It does bump at night. Usually when the minibus is the place every morning, I hear, because our house is located along the main road. Wednesday morning I was preparing to go to work when I heard the van arrived. "I heard the door open and within minutes I heard a loud noise. When I looked through the window, I saw a person lying on the asphalt. I immediately knew it was my sister. I ran toward her in hopes that no other vehicle coming the face. It was the panic! "Says the brother of the victim.

The latter said he took the risk of raising his sister: "Someone asked me to take him to the hospital in his car. We have not yet announced the news of the accident to his daughter ten years. She will participate in the CPE exams. We expect her mother to go a little better ... "

The driver of the car explained: "I was driving toward New France to go to work. It was raining and visibility was reduced due to fog. In addition, this road was not lit. A van came in the opposite direction. Immediately after, the lady came out behind the vehicle to cross the road." This tells that the victim was dressed in white: "She ran to get the other side of the road because of rain. I tried to avoid it but the right side of the car was hit. After the impact, I stopped and I waved to other vehicles to stop because the lady was in the middle of the road. I then alerted the police." The driver of the car said he remained there until police arrived.
