Car Crashes Claim Two Lives
Three accidents were recorded between Wednesday and Thursday including two fatal ones. On Thursday, at 1.30 am, the Quatre Bornes police recovered the body of 20-year-old Ajmal Muhassen Cadersa along Victoria Avenue by the side of his motorcycle.

He had crashed into a concrete wall near the side of the road.

He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

At Triolet, on Wednesday night, Pierre Coret from Floreal who was travelling aboard a pick-up truck succumbed to injuries he sustained earlier in a serious accident.

The truck which hit a car in a lateral road. The victim was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the SSRN hospital. The two other occupants of the truck, Jean Robert Soxanne, 45, and Fidele Alexandre, 19, along with the truck driver Elizabeth Sinappen, 30, were injured.

The car driver, 20-year-old Geetesh Kumar Gungah from Triolet, who is also the son of Member of Parliament, Ashit Gungah was not injured. He was negatively alcotested.

Following a collision against the rear side of a bus, Oumar Abdoola, 17, from La tour Koenig, is fighting for his life in the ICU of Dr Jeetoo hospital.
