Deadly Road: Three Dead in 24 Hours
The list of victims goes on the road with three deaths in 24 hours, including two elderly people have perished in particular, reversed by vehicles.

In Phoenix, Futloo Rehana, 69, was hit by a truck driven by Hemchand G., aged 44, on the main street in Phoenix on Thursday morning. Futloo Rehana had left home at 9:00 to go to the supermarket in the locality. She went to get bread for his family. She walked along the main street. 

At one point, she crossed the floor, then it is a truck that left the street Sayed-Hossen has hit hard. Seriously injured, the victim was rushed to Victoria Hospital, where she Candos was admitted to the intensive care unit. The old lady did not survive. His body was taken to the morgue for autopsy. This is consternation among Futloo. "This is a family member who attended the accident, which informed us of the tragedy. Autopsy performed by Dr. Maxwell Monvoisin, pathologist, attributed the death of Rehana Futloo a shock after an injury to the chest. 

The driver, Hemchand G., a resident of Crève-Cœur, underwent a breathalyzer test which proved negative to the police station. He told investigators he drove his way when a lady came up to him. He tried to avoid it, but in vain. Hemchand G.remains in custody. He will appear in court on Friday Curepipe where it will be temporarily charged with manslaughter.

Funeral of the victim took place on Thursday at 17 h 30. Sergeant Burkutally conducting the investigation under the supervision of the Inspector Mahadawoo.
