Driver Killed in Saint Jean Road Accident
The Coromandel fire station was summoned early on Sunday morning after a car skidded, went through the guard rail and smashed against an electric pole in Trianon.

The Moka police attended to the scene of the accident at 3am and found the white Nissan Sunny stuck in the middle of the motorway.

The SAMU was requested and conveyed the three occupants to the Princess Margaret Orthopedic Centre in Candos in a serious state and they were admitted to the intensive care unit, however, the driver succumbed to his injuries late Sunday afternoon.

Autopsy carried out by chief police medial officer Sudesh Kumar Gungadin certified cause of death to multiple injuries.

A police inquiry is underway to determine the circumstances of the accident. Police is yet to record the version of the other occupants of the vehicle.
