Fatal accident in Floreal
Poojmawtee Fowdur has been hit hard by a car Tuesday morning while crossing the road near the Royal lights at Floreal. The local resident, 78 years old, has not survived cause multiple injuries.

According to victim’s relatives, the shock was so violent that the victim was thrown six yards after the traffic lights. At the time of the tragedy, Poojmawtee Fowdur was returning home. The septuagenarian was out to do some shopping. "She used to go out alone. He was running errands and going to the market ", says one of his son.

They are witness who called the emergency services. Poojmawtee Fowdur was transported to Victoria Hospital, Candos by the UAS.Relatives of the victim say she was seriously wounded in the head. "He was conscious, but she spoke with difficulty and asked passersby to take her to the hospital. But people were reluctant for fear of aggravating his condition, "says his son.

Poojmawtee Fowdur has died a few hours later in hospital. At home Poojmawtee Fowdur, Wednesday afternoon was the consternation and incomprehension until his funeral which is scheduled for Friday. "We're not exactly known what happened. Witnesses said that the traffic lights were green. After the funeral, we can take power if we spoke with lawyer,".

An autopsy by the medical examiner, Dr. Said, attributed the death of the victim with multiple injuries.

The driver involved in the accident, a resident of Floreal, was brought before the Court of Curepipe where an interim charge of manslaughter has been lodged against her. She was released on bail.
