Yoosoof Aubeeluck, one of two witnesses in the investigation of the threat with a gun, has positively identified the magistrate Mahesh Beeharry, as the person who had pointed a gun at a motorcyclist. There was an identification process at the CID office in Port Louis South, Monday afternoon in the presence of Gavin Glover, the lawyer of the magistrate.

In fact, two witnesses were called to identify, if possible, the magistrate Mahesh Beeharry, as the individual who allegedly pointed a gun at the motorcyclist Emamjee Shamir, Tuesday, December 14, near Le Jardin de la Compagnie, Port-Louis. The second witness had to leave the CID office before the start of the procedure because of a health problem. He is expected Tuesday morning to Central Stations.

The judge of the Small Claims Tribunal, Mahesh Beeharry, visited the office of the Criminal Investigation Division of Port Louis South, escorted by his lawyer, Mr. Gavin Glover. Near 12:50, two men emerged after the identification process. Asked for a statement by Le Matinal, Mr. Glover said simply that a police investigation is underway.

The police left it to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) rule on this issue. He would tell in what interim charge Mahesh Beharry should be pursued, if it is necessary. This case is against the backdrop of a verbal quarrel that occurred between the magistrate and the peddler about a parking area
