A whole family is plunged into sadness in the Cocotier, Petite-Rivière-Noire. Louis Fleury Narroo died after being hit by a van in La-Preneuse, near a supermarket.

This 49 year old man was walking along the main road Sunday night when the tragedy occurred. Narroo Louis Fleury was rushed by emergency at the hospital Dr Yves Cantin, Black River, where the health workers could only see his death. The post-mortem report of Dr Salim Saib indicates that Louis Fleury Narroo died from his multiple injuries. As for the driver of the van, 74 years old and lives in Black River, he had not stopped at the time of impact. But, he went to the police station in the region, soon after, where he was subjected to a breath test which proved negative.

According to his daughter Dowendy, Louis Fleury Narroo was at Flic en-Flac at Sunday, then went to Little Black River with his brother to retrieve clothing: "At 13 am 15, my father went to the shop before taking the road to Little Black River. "

Louis Fleury Narroo was walking along the main road to La-Preneuse, 15 to 19 h, when he was hit by a van which was on the way to Tamarin. General Construction of the employee was killed instantly. "It was around 19 h 30 we learned the sad news," says Dowendy.

The driver of the van was brought before the Court of Bamboo, Monday morning. A provisional charge of manslaughter was brought against him. Since then, he is on parole. He had to pay a deposit of Rs 15,000 and sign an acknowledgment of debt of Rs 50,000.
