A resident of Beau Vallon, aged 58, is the intensive care unit of the hospital Jawaharlal Nehru, Rose-Belle.
He was involved in a serious road accident, Sunday 20h50. The fifties was crossing the main road Mahébourg when he was hit by a van. Seriously injured, the victim was evacuated to hospital by the ambulance.
The driver of the vehicle, aged 71, was submitted to a breath test which proved positive.
