He was on the road to Royal Mail La Fayette when a car crashed into the back of his bike. Josian Phoebi Herbert, aged 32, was admitted to the intensive care unit at the hospital in Flacq. He died of his injuries Saturday, January 4.

For five days, he fought against death. But Josian Phoebi Herbert , 32, did not survive his injuries after his occurred in Poste-la-Fayette accident while he was on a bicycle. He passed away on Saturday January 4, after spending five days in the intensive care unit of the hospital in Flacq. An autopsy attributed the death to brain injury.

The young rider was heading Roches-Noires when a car crashed into the back of his bicycle on December 30 at around 20 hours. The driver, a resident of 70 years old Roches Noires, was subjected to a breath test. It was negative.
