It was around 19 pm yesterday, Thursday, December 19, when the accident occurred. A man, aged 45, was crossing the road in New France when he was hit by a mini van.
Seriously wounded, he was rushed to the Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital in Rose-Belle, where he was admitted to intensive care. His condition is considered critical.
As the driver of the vehicle, a "caretaker" 47 years old, he was subjected to a breath test which proved negative. The circumstances of the accident are, for the moment, unknown.
